Emotions are coordinated states, shaped by natural selection, that adjust physiological and behavioral responses to take advantage of opportunities and to cope with the reats that have recurred over the course of evolution.

DI QUESTA PARTE NON SIAMO TANTO D'ACCORDO!...

The neural mechanisms that regulate emotion
and behavior were shaped by natural
selection to maximize Darwinian fitness, so
psychoactive drugs that disrupt those mechanisms
should impair adaptation.

Mi sembra un pò troppo inglese questa frase... no?
